Tell us about the proposal!
“We love to be outside + we have spent a lot of time finding cool places to hammock. One of our favorite places is Cooper Landing in Columbia, Missouri. On the day that we got engaged, Ryan + I had planned on going to that spot to hang out after I got done babysitting. I had played outside with the kiddos all day so decided I should take a shower before we went - thank goodness I did! When Ryan got there to pick me up, my hair was still completely wet so the first thing he said was, "Don't you want to blow dry your hair or something?" I just laughed thinking he was joking, but part of me was like, hmmm. So on our way, he decided to roll all of the windows down to do the job! Once we got there I was so caught off guard to see our hammocks were already set up, along with a beautiful bench he had built + the sweetest letter I have ever read. Then he popped the question! It was perfect.”
How did you know your gown was “the one”?
“The second I put it on in the dressing room - I just knew + when I walked out of the fitting room + saw the look on my mom + mother-in-law's faces - that confirmed it for me! I think I had the dress on for about 3 minutes before I announced, "yep, this is it!"
How did the two of you meet?
“Ryan + I met at The University of Missouri. His brother's girlfriend - now wife - set us up!”
Where did you draw inspiration from while planning?
“Mostly Pinterest + The Knot's Instagram account!”
Did you have a specific theme in mind while planning?
“I didn't necessarily have a specific theme, but I always knew I wanted light pink + white florals. I have always loved the soft girly look!”
What was your favorite moment of the day?
“Our first look! Ryan + I debated doing one, but I am so glad we decided to. It was so special + it made us both feel so much more at ease going into + during the ceremony. The whole day was a blur before + after the first look, but in that few minutes it felt like we could really take in everything.”
What advice would you give to other brides in regard to dress shopping?
“Try them all on! I tried on a ton of dresses, but I still wish I could go back + do it again. It was so fun + you won't ever get to do it again!”
Congratulations Mr. + Mrs. Mueller!
Cheers to spending your forever with your best friend!
